As Collier readied to go, Aella gave him a huge hug. Sure she was a tough and dangerous black widow who commonly liked to find trouble and get into fights. Maybe she had the spirit of an eyrien warrior more than a pruulian lady. Above everything else, she was a loyal friend and something told her that Collier would need a hug, just to let him know that she was ok with him leaving them to fight on their own. Of course, she knew that there was someone else's hug that would do far better things for him but her's wasn't about calming him down. "Collier, we'll take care of the bar, you take care of your girls." She stepped away to finish eating before she turned and looked at him sternly. "Oh. And keep that healer away from my brother." Stupid whore.

As the mention of being able to use her full power joined the conversation, all thoughts of her brother falling for a short lived member quickly left her mind. The smile that spread across Aella's face was a feral, predatory grin. She could almost feel her jewel's excitement coursing through her as if it had heard that it would be used well that night. Not just at a pittance of what it was capable of but at full strength, exactly as it should be.

She didn't even mind having to talk with someone afterwards. Aella wouldn't change who she was for anyone. If this person expected her to be prim, proper and thankful, they shouldn't be. Well, maybe she'd be thankful. Very thankful. If they were so intrigued, she would gladly show them just how thankful she was. The idea was like catnip and she couldn't wait for the fight to begin.

She sat down in the chair by the table and started eating the food. It was nothing much for her to eat all of it but that's what happens with a red jewel. Her ability to consume food at high rates was necessary to fuel her jewel. Knowing that she could use all of her strength gave her an added reason to eat as much as she could.

She listed and Karth laid out his plan while she looked around the room. "Deal. And I'm not about to go sashaying down to the twisted kingdom right now. It was just a warning to stay on your toes. Got it." Shortly after saying that, Aella sensed the approach. She got to her feet, floated the food and nodded her head silently towards the stairs. there was no point in letting good food go to waste afterall. As she took her place, she gave karth one more appreciative glance. "Had I known we would be in this kind of fight, I would have worn more sensible shoes." She said, the creak of the door the only response before the fight began.

Karth might've smirked at Aella's shoe complaint, but the door opening had his full attention.

A large man wearing a chain shirt and carrying an axe walked into the room. He was flanked by more than ten men. All armed and wearing armor. They looked around the room and scoffed at the barrier constructed of tables across the tavern. The leader spoke up,

"I'm insulted that you think this line of tables would stop us from entering. Not only am I going to kill you for that, but I'm getting paid for it too. I love this town"

Karth looked at the Leader, and his men. 15 in all. These weren't Frank's men, they were Mercenaries. Hired Soldiers to fight for anyone with the money. Frank had decided to hire these men to die, instead of coming himself.

"Your employer's a coward. This fight was between him and Myself. Now it seems you and your men, and all those he sends later, will die for his cowardice. I should've expected as much. You can leave now without being a coward, or you can stay and die. The choice is each of yours."

The Mercenaries just stared at Karth as if he were crazy, and looked at each other and then back to Karth. As though they were asking themselves wheither this man were crazy, Blind or maybe just too dumb to realize he was incredibly outnumbered. The leader laughed and shouted his orders,

"Bring me the Idiot's head. We can crack it open after the fight to see what is wrong with his brain for him to think he can kill us all."

The first of the Mercenaries tried to push the tables away, only to find them being held in place by craft. They looked at karth to see him glance to the door behind them as if to say they could still leave. They tried smashing the tables and watched as their weapons bounced off of the table tops. The Mercenaries once more looked at Karth to see him with closed eyes shaking his head.

"I gave you the chance to leave and live. Come, Fight and die as Warriors, instead of the sell-swords that you are."

At those words a red shield snapped into place over the front of the building sealing the men inside. The glanced back at the wall behind them and then forward at the lone man before them. The Mercenaries glanced once more at eachother. One began to climb over the top of the tables. He had both feet planted on the table top when karth exploded into action. The last thing the man would have remembered was feeling his feet fly out from under him and landing on his back on the table, and then darkness. The rest of the Mercenaries were not as lucky,

They watched Karth cover the distance between the lone table, and the barrier in what seemed like an instant, He swept the man's legs out from under him with a single arm while the man was still gaining his balance, and after the man had landed brought his forearm slamming down atop the mans head, splitting it open in a splash of gore. Karth skipped back a few steps out of reach and waited for the next brave man to cross the tables.

"Next?"

Karth taunted at some of the pale faced and gore spattered Mercenaries. The leader, looked at Karth and responded by grabbing the closest man and throwing him over the tables at Karth and bellowing out,

"He can't get us all you fools. Get your asses over these tables, or I'll kill you myself."

The Lone Mercenary hit the floor and rolled and was in the process of getting up when a boot slammed into his chin hard enough to snap his head back and knock him onto his back. As his vision blurred he watched a shadowy figure loom overhead and the same boot came up, though fuzzier now and come down across his throat. The man felt his windpipe collapse and he tried to scream but nothing except a gargeling rasping noise came out. The fuzzy figure disappeared from his view and he blacked out shortly thereafter.

Karth moved around the men, sidestepping and deflecting blows into the other combatants. By sidestepping or dropping to the ground a blade meant for him would find whoever had tried to pursue him around the room. A quick follow up on his would be attacker left the numbers declining quickly. These men were good, but inexperienced. Too unused to the chaos of a battlefield they had probably had a few stand up fights, but nothing this chaotic. This Primal.
The occasional grunt of pain, and flash of Red here and there told him that Aella had slipped into the fight.

After what seemed like merely seconds only the Leader remained. The leader had remained on the other side of the tables. He had observed the entire fight trying to find a weakness in his opponents. Looking at the large man, made Karth shake his head. He may be armed, and even armored, but this man didn't stand a chnce. Wheither he knew it or not remained to be seen. A quick glance over his shioulder at Aella told him she had come to the same realizattion.

"So, Do you wan't him or is this one mine too, Aella?"

A feral, wild smile crept onto Aella's face as she watched the men come into the bar. She had taken the higher ground, standing half way up the stairs so she could better see the men coming into the bar. It would also give her a better angle on the window to make sure that everyone had indeed come in. What was a well laid trap...or plan...yes, plan...if it wasn't set before everyone made it to the party? All of Karth's hard work would have gone to waste. Not to mention there would be people attacking her shield from both sides.

She leaned leisurely on the railing as the obvious leader of the group spoke. The black widow was ready for a fight, not a chat. So while the boys used their mouths to battle it out, Aella sighed, rolled her eyes and called in an emery board to file her nails back a little. When the idiot male who decided to be first started bounding over the tables, she gave it a board glance. Watching Karth take out one man was just not impressive, especially when he was the sacrificial warrior. Who in their right minds would be the first over a baracade? The wise thing to do was to let everyone else go to create less of a barricade and more of a hill. Men were idiots.

Finally, they all attacked and Aella's attention was diverted from her nails. But only partially. She gave a sigh as she realized that joining into the attack physically would not be good at the moment. The men had no idea how to work in such a fashion and Karth really was doing a damn good job and looking damn good in that uniform of his. She was a little irritated that no one thought they should go after her or try to get up to the healer. She was far cuter then Karth. So she sent blasts of her red through their minds as Karth dropped them and occasionally for a knee when they were going to go and do something very unsportsman like. Otherwise, she filed her nails down.

The entire time, the leader had been trying to blast through her shield which amused Aella to no end. It was good to let her red jewel out to stretch after so long. When they finally finished, Aella blew the dust off of her nails. She began descending the stairs with her hips swaying and her shoes clicking with each step. "Well, I think I should get a shot at at least one of them. Apparently, they're all too afraid of a big bad black widow." By now, her attention had shifted to the lone opponent, a vicious smile poised on her face.

Aella called over a few pieces of broken furniture and created a stairway to get over the barrier. The man mumbled something about not wanting to hurt a woman before Aella laughed. He took a swipe at her face with clawed knives. Ducking it easily, Aella called in a coustille and with the aid of a tiny bit of craft, rammed the blade into the underside of his jaw, slicing straight through the roof of his mouth and into his brain. The man fell to the ground and after a quick wiggle of the blade and a sharp kick to the neck, Aella pulled her sword free.

She took a look around the bar and nodded. "Well, Collier can't be too mad at us. We didn't break much. Actually, I think we broke more in that fight two years ago when that girl tried to claw my eyes out for talking to you. Who would have known she was a queen with full guard here?" Aella said with a shrug.

She just couldn't help herself, she grinned at Karth and ran a quick hand through her hair, thankful she had shielded her clothes. "We should probably go check the perimeter before calling Collier back and see what other damage we can make before he comes back."

Karth watched as Aella retrieved her Coustille from the unfortunate man. He shook his head at the mention of the event that had nearly gotten the "Cat's Teeth" destroyed in the ensuing brawl. Collier had been a little upset, until it was discovered that it wasn't their fault and the queen was forced to pay damages. Checking around the building was a good idea, and an easy way to make sure there weren't more outside trying to burn the place down. He looked down at himself spattered with chunks of gore and covered up to nearly his shoulders in blood.

"Yeah, we probably should. Just in case."

He shoulder rolled across the table to land at Aella's side by the door. He gave a quick survey around the bar littered with corpse's. And spent a few seconds admiring their handiwork.

"You think we should call Collier back before or after we clean up? The look on his face when he sees the place might be worth the earfull. Then again, seeing his place like this might haunt him."

Karth opened the door and stepped outside first. The street was deserted and quiet, which wasn't unheard of in Pruul. The thud of a corssbow bolt missing Karth was new however, and sent him pulling back inside. The shapes of men moving about in the shadows told him the fight wasn't over just yet. A quick glance out the open door revealed four men walking towards them weapons in hand. He turned and dove back across the table barricade and went to the back of the room, unsure of wheither these men had Crossbows or not he dropped a sight shield on himself. No sense making it easy for them in they did have Crossbows. The four men walked cautiously into the room and glanced around at the carnage inside, eyes going wide as they saw the wounds. The first man cast his steely gaze around the room, the curved blade of his saber staying at a defensive position in front of him. Keeping his back to the wall this man walked to the far side of the room and slowly climbed across the table. The other men eyed him as though he were crazy and proceeded to cross the tables in front of the door. Karth kicked the first man as he was just setting his feet down, thus breaking his sight shield. The man went back over the tables taking his two friends with him and the three hit the opposite wall. Karth turned to the Cautious man holding the saber.

"So, It seems as though your the second person tonight that has had a brain when it came to this fight. Come, lets dance. Don't worry about your friends, they'll have more than enough to keep them busy."

Aella was very proud of the work that had done that night. The amount of damage that they had done to the people without really doing all that much to the bar was really impressive. Of course, Aella thought that everything they did was impressive. There were very few people who could keep up with them in any way. As Karth asked his question though, she couldn't help but grin. "He could have a heart attack when he looks at this place. And besides, he never lets us really celebrate." Aella turned her grin towards Karth. "He has all those rules and stuff that he expects us to follow and he probably didn't expect us to be done this quickly. I say we celebrate, start cleaning up and then tell him."

She wasn't really paying that much attention as Karth went outside, still admiring their work. Aella was smart enough to know that the ex fighter would only run back into the bar for one reason. More prey.

Aella immediately snapped her own shields up around her, disappearing from view for all who came in. Everyone except the healer upstairs. Damn! She watched the four come in but didn't slap the shields up around the door since there were more outside. She wanted them all to come in and play with her and Karth. Well, mostly her at this point.

She sighed a little as one of the males was thrown back. She wanted to kick Karth for doing that. She moved behind the last male and dropped her shields, blocking his escape. "You either fight him, or me." She said, pointing to the lone body she got to destroy. "He was mine." A vicious smile came to her lips and the scared man began an attack on Karth.

Aella didn't waste any time, moving towards the trio who were just starting to get up. As they called in various weapons, she called in her own. Their dance was dangerous, full of twists and close calls. She didn't go straight for the kill, needing very much to waste some of the energy she had. When their moves bored her though, she quickly took all three out and looked to Karth. Aella didn't see anyone new in the bar and Karth seemed to be done. "So, how do you want to dispose of the others?"

His opponent kept his sword hand in back with his front hand forward. Typically a more defensive maneuver. If this had been a normal fight Karth would have waited to see how patient this man was. However, since there were more outside he couldn't afford the extra time. Karth used Craft to throw the lone table at the man. His eyes grew wide as he realized Karth could use craft and tried to move out of the way. Only to have the table follow him and slam him into the wall. The table splintered with the impact and the man found himself dazed and Karth was on him. Too close to effectively use the saber, the man Punched out his hand and hit Karth with the cup of his saber in Karth's chest, producing a dull thump noise. Karth's response was delivering a strike of his own into the man's chest with his Gauntleted fist.

Karth felt something give as the man's back was against the wall. His eyes bulged and he dropped low and drug the saber down towards the front of Karth's chest. Karths hands came up and trapped the blade under his arm. As he held onto the man's forearms, with the saber trapped under his arm he struck out with his right hand sending the mans head snapping back and bouncing off of the Tavern's wall. The satisfying dull thump that it produced told Karth the man wouldn't be fighting anymore for the day. The Three following strikes were to ensure the man wouldn't fight again, Ever. Dropping what was left of the man to the ground He turned to face Aella.

"I'm not sure I like the idea of men with Crossbows waiting for us to stick our heads out so they can shoot them. What do you think? Sight shield and walk out there and Kill them, or do you just wanna use your jewel and end this pathetic excuse for a fight?"

Karth felt a slow burning sensation start to spread in his side and glanced down to notice the blood running freely down his leg, and pooling on the floor. As Karth glanced down he came to the realization that the man's saber had only gotten a little bit of his chest, but had bitten into his side rather well. Not a Mortal wound by anymeans, but neglected it could create a problem. He found himself thinking several things, first and foremost was that Aella would never let him live this one down.

"Hey beautiful, I seem to have sprung a small leak. So, how do we wanna take care of those assholes with crossbows? I'm game for whatever."

Aella was thinking about ways to get rid of the last of the enemy before she had even asked Karth for his opinion. It was a very rare occasion when she was able to use her red jewel at full blast. It was only when she left Pruul that she got that beautiful experience. Her fingers were tingling to drop down to her depths and blast threw the cowards who wouldn't join into a fair fight. She knew they would come near soon and then she could just beat on them some more but where was the fun in that?

She listened carefully to his words and considered the options. As much as she enjoyed using her full jewel, she also liked a good sneak attack. It was so much fun to see the shock on people's eyes as they were felled to the ground. Just the idea of it made her grin as memories of past enemies who had been fooled by her.

She was momentarily distracted by those memories and hadn't noticed Karth's injury until he said something. She stared at him with confusion for a moment before she saw the blood dripping down his side. Aella shook her head. "How did you get hurt? You've got all your armor and stuff and you got hurt? That is sheer talent." She said as she stepped closer to look him over. She was no healer but all warriors knew basic healing techniques to get them to survive until a real healer could get there. "Next time, you may want to consider getting injured when the closest healer is, I don't know, conscious." She may be a little irritated but there was still a grin on her face. He was in for so much shit.

Aella lightly touched Karth's side as she looked at the wound and shook her head. It wasn't too bad, they had both survived worst. "I guess I'll just take care of them." She said, finding the crossbow owners that were strategically placed around the tavern. Aella wanted to just let her jewel rip and let it take out everyone in the path of her jewel but even for Aella, that was a bit irresponsible. So instead, she located her targets and then, with one hit from her red, she burned through their minds, letting them fall to the ground. It was a surprise attack of sorts, she just couldn't enjoy the looks in people's faces.

Oh well.

Aella strolled over to the bar, and sat down. "Come on boyo. Sit." She called in her supplies and waited for him to come closer. Aella reasoned with herself that there could be more people around the bar who could attack and so calling for a healer wasn't a smart choice yet. Healers were generally innocent and were needed. Besides, when you got the reputation for letting healers get injured, they talked.

In truth, it was a protective streak that Aella had for Karth that kept her for calling for a healer yet. Yes, she was going to give him hell for getting injured but deep down, she felt a little guilt for letting him get hurt. She could have taken that one person out as well but she hadn't. She let Karth have his male pride and get hurt. Damn males. Now she was finding it a tiny bit difficult to look him in the eye but at least she could concentrate on the wound.

Once Karth was seated, Aella helped him remove the armor on that side of his body. "How did he get to you? You never leave your sides open." She asked. Aella just wasn't one for tears and worry. Karth would be fine and possibly have a nice little scar to show off. She picked up some of the ointments that she kept on hand. She couldn't exactly remember what it did but a healer had once told her to use it. She packed the wound as gently as she could although she was still far more rough then a healer would have been. That was his punishment for getting hurt she supposed.

"So, when do you think we should call Collier back?"

Karth felt Aella's flash of Red, and almost felt sorry for their would be ambushers, then he remembered they were acting like cowards. Then he remembered they worked for Frank, and suddenly he didn't feel bad for them at all. She called him over to sit on the bar and called in her supplies. He heard her muttering about how he had left himself open, in truth he hadn't, but there was no point in arguing with her.

He had used a blade trap and counter technique he had been working on, appearantly it still needed some work. He raised his arm and felt her poking about his ribs and fussing. He liked it when she fussed, but he could never admit that out loud. He was a warrior, and warrior's did NOT talk about their feelings. Ever. A flash of pain and a steady searing sensation coursed up his side as the healing ointments cleansed the wound. He stared at the fallen corpses of the men, wondering if they had realized they hadn't stood a chance.

He knew what would come next dragging the bodies a few blocks away where they would be stripped within minutes once they were found. And then Trying to do a quick cleanup job so Collier's heart didn't stop when he saw the blood pooling on the floor and the spatter about the front of his Tavern. Afterwards, he could see a healer though he would rather just spend the rest of the night rolling around on the floor with Aella, Polishing off a few bottles of Alcohol, and waking up as he usually did when he and Aella fell asleep together.

With an elbow in the face.
